Job Title: Deputy General Manager (DGM)  Plant Operations
Location: Silvassa

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead the end-to-end operations of our Power Transmission Conductors manufacturing facility located in Silvassa. As Deputy General Manager – Plant Operations & Production, you will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of plant management including production planning, supply chain, procurement, maintenance, quality, safety, HR, accounts, budget control, etc.
This is a senior leadership role with full operational ownership and requires a hands-on, strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, manage a large workforce, and deliver on both top-line and bottom-line objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
·         Lead overall plant operations, including production, maintenance and EHS functions.
·         Drive end-to-end production planning to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing aligned with delivery commitments and quality standards.
·         Oversee and control the plant budget, monitor cost efficiency, and implement cost optimization measures.
·         Ensure the highest levels of quality assurance in line with national and international standards for power transmission conductors.
·         Establish and maintain robust safety protocols, environmental compliance, and health regulations across all plant activities.
·         Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and accountability across departments.
·         Maintain strong industrial relations (IR) and manage human resources effectively to ensure smooth operations.
·         Coordinate with senior management to align plant objectives with organizational goals and long-term strategy.
·         Oversee audits, risk assessments, and ensure plant readiness for internal and external reviews.
·         Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
·         15–20 years of progressive experience in plant operations and production management, ideally in the power transmission conductors or allied electrical              manufacturing industry.
·         Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, production planning, procurement, inventory control, maintenance and safety.
·         Proven expertise in managing plant budgets, quality systems, and large-scale manufacturing teams.
·         Demonstrated ability to lead change, drive operational improvements, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
·         Strong interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Educational Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (Mechanical, Production, etc.).
·         MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Operations is highly preferred.
